Founder and Chief Executive Officer
Jeff Burbank has led the NxStage Medical team since inception, bringing more than twenty-five years of in-depth management experience at corporations developing, marketing and manufacturing products for End-Stage Renal Disease (ESRD) patients. As Founder, CEO, and Board of Directors member, Burbank leads NxStage Medical to create value for customers, investors, and employees with superior innovation and execution.
Prior to founding NxStage Medical, Burbank co-founded Vasca, Inc., a company devoted to developing and providing the best in innovative implantable vascular access devices for patients with ESRD. Previous to that, Burbank gained significant renal products experience in his nine years at Gambro, Inc.
During his career, Burbank has been named as an inventor on 50 U.S. patents for medical devices and received numerous awards for his entrepreneurial achievements. He earned his B.S. in Industrial Engineering from Lehigh University.
