Fairfax Radio 2/1/2022 8:00 AM Drive time

Our first guest is Dr. Scott Curry, Assistant Professor and Associate Hospital Epidemiologist at the Medical University of South Carolina, he will discuss the impact of the Omicron variant and ways to stay healthy as we spend more time indoors during the winter months. He will also address myths and misinformation about vaccines, clarify the need for and timing of boosters, and provide insights on any other COVID-related topic.

As the Omicron variant of COVID-19 continues to rapidly spread across the nation and cases surge, hospitals are filling up again, mostly with unvaccinated people. Vaccines continue to decrease the risk of severe disease, hospitalization, and death from COVID. Being boosted offers the best defense. Yet, many people who are eligible for a booster have not yet gotten one. More Americans can get strong protection with the recent authorization of vaccines and boosters for younger children. It is so important to be protected for you and your family. For more information please visit www.vaccines.gov
