Our guest today is Tami Hoffman, wife, mom, grandma, and a “mama” to 400 children in Uganda, Africa. Director of Hoffman Family Foundation and operator of Rays of Grace Academy in Jinja, Uganda along with her Ugandan son Robert Kiwanuka. Hoffman Family Foundation a 501(c)(3) was founded in 2014. Seeing a growing need for many vulnerable children Tami heard the call on her life to make a difference in this world one starfish at a time and Hoffman Family Foundation was born. Over the past seven years, Hoffman Family Foundation has grown immensely thanks to our generous donations and now has been able to help hundreds of families, women, and children in Uganda. Roshanda Turner a patient advocate for Kidney disease, she discusses managing the disease and the importance of early diagnosis and treatment choice. Roshanda is passionate about educating others about kidney failure and home dialysis. Since her diagnosis, Roshanda has trained on how to do her hemodialysis treatment at home and is now on the kidney transplant list.
