Dan Perkins has been managing money for almost 40 years. He started his career in the financial service industry as an account executive in the Merrill Lynch, Columbus, Ohio office. On the first day of the class she told the students that they would find out ifthey could write in two weeks. Mr. Perkins thought, “If I can’t write I only loose two weeks of golf, not a big risk.” Nancy informed the class that this was her fourth time teaching the class and somebody was published in all three previous classes, now she is four for four with the publishing of Mr. Perkinsbook, The Brotherhood of the Red Nile, a Terrorist Perspective. Mister Perkins found out that he could write, in fact he finished his first novel, The Brotherhood of the Red Nile, A Terrorist Perspective, in 90 days. He found an editor and a publisher so that the book was published on December14, 2012 a little over 9 months from the first keystroke. One review said of the book, “This book is as current as today’s headlines but scarier than tomorrows.” The Brotherhood of the Red Nile, A Terrorist Perspective is the fictional account of a new terrorist group formed in Syria that strikes an alliance with the Iranian Nuclear program to rebuild two old Soviet Union suitcase dirty bombs and attack the United States with the more powerful weapons. Patricia Stirnkorb
Patricia Stirnkorb has been a writer most of her life. After having her first poem published at age 10, she realized the value of words and how they can impact a reader. As an adult she has written for more than 20 national magazines, was the editor and journalist for her local paper, and has published 15 children’s books and 2 adult books. She also is a photographer and her and her husband’s work has appeared in more than 200 magazines, countless brochures and many web sites. Most recently, her novel, Nightmares (based on a true story) was optioned by Back Fence Productions to be made into a feature length film and she is working on the screenplay for it. She works with N2 Publishing providing a way for small to medium size business get in front of affluent neighborhoods across the greater Cincinnati Area. She publishing a magazine for Terrace Park called A Walk in the Park which comes out monthly and is supported by advertising.

Father Andrew J. Umberg
Pastor of St. Joseph Parish
Father Andrew J. Umberg is the pastor of St. Joseph Parish in North Bend, Ohio and was appointed Pastor of St. Joseph Parish, North Bend, on July 1, 2015, he also serves as the Director of the Priestly Formation Office of the Archdiocese of Cincinnati. Rev. Umberg was formerly the Pastor at St. William Parish in Price Hill.
As a priest of the Archdiocese of Cincinnati, he is ordained and appointed to be a minister of the Word and the Sacraments for the people of St. Joseph, and to lead the parish in living the Gospel and spreading the Gospel. As head of the parish staff, he sets the vision for the parish and makes decisions concerning parish resources and how they are used, with the consultation and help of the Staff and of the Parish Pastoral Council and Finance Council, as well as other commissions, boards and individuals.
Father Umberg grew up in Cincinnati and attended LaSalle High School. He attended the Pontifical College Josephinum in Columbus and Mt. St. Mary’s Seminary in Cincinnati for his priestly studies. He was ordained in 1991.
