Colin Henstock, PETA’s Investigations Project Manager

Colin Henstock, PETAWe have two incredible guests lined up for today’s show. First up is Colin Henstock, PETA’s Investigations Project Manager, here to shed light on a pressing issue: the detrimental impact of breeding dogs for aesthetic purposes on both animals and humans. Imagine a life where every breath is a struggle for oxygen. This applies to breeds like French and English bulldogs, Boston terriers, pugs, boxers, and others with breathing impairments. These dogs are intentionally bred to have severely distorted airways, causing discomfort, panting, snorting, and wheezing. One solution to this problem is to ban the breeding and sale of these breathing-impaired breeds. Colin will also emphasize the importance of adopting from shelters and breed-specific adoption groups, as animals of all shapes and sizes need loving homes. Additionally, he will provide helpful tips for BIB dog owners on ensuring their pets’ comfort, such as avoiding heat, walking them during cooler parts of the day, minimizing excitement and strenuous exercise, and scheduling regular vet appointments. Colin Henstock’s role as PETA’s Investigations Project Manager involves working closely with undercover investigators and whistleblowers to expose the conditions and treatment of animals in the pet trade and other exploitative industries. His efforts have led to the closure of unsanitary dairy farms, decrepit greyhound blood farms, and groundbreaking exposés on Iditarod champions’ kennels. He also monitors federal enforcement actions at slaughterhouses and urges state and federal authorities to prosecute egregious slaughter violations. For more information, please visit www.PETA.org.

The Bible History Guy Ministry

James Mosely, the Bible GuyOur second guest is James Moseley, President of The Bible History Guy Ministry, dedicated to discovering faith through facts. Today, he joins us to discuss his impressive collection of twenty-six books encompassing biblical theology, religion, cuisine, humor, political satire, folk tales, juvenile fiction, and history. I began our conversation by asking James how he found God. In his early teens, he embarked on a quest to find God and immersed himself in world religions. He studied Islam in the Middle East, journeyed across the Himalayas to meet the Dalai Lama, made pilgrimages to sacred sites such as the Buddha’s Bodi Tree in Bodh Gaya, the Sikh Golden Temple in Amritsar, the Hindu holy city of Varanasi, and the Kinkakuji Temple in Kyoto. He even encountered a Sufi shrine hidden within the Javan Jungle. Eventually, weary of seekers, James yearned to become a finder of truth. Reluctantly, he turned to the Bible, applying his educated intellect to scrutinize its contents. To his astonishment, his attempts to disprove its validity failed. In every field, he explored—archaeology, paleontology, astronomy, history, physics, mathematics, and philosophy—the Bible stood strong while his beliefs crumbled. As a Christian, he found no rational basis to doubt the Bible’s literal truth and discovered that faith is born out of doubt. James Moseley holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Hampshire College in Amherst, Massachusetts, a master’s degree in theology from Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia, and is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Bible Exposition, also from Liberty University. In addition to his scholarly pursuits, James is the founder and president of The Parcel Team, a parcel delivery service contracted by Amazon, responsible for handling over two million shipments annually. He is also the president of Smart Giving, Inc., which assists churches and nonprofits in fundraising. For more information or to purchase James Moseley’s books, please visit thebiblehistoryguy.com.
